Keeping it local

Alwickbury Golf Club, Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Getting ready for the big day started at the Bride-to-be’s home in the village of Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire.

From Jo’s old childhood bedroom window you could see the church that she would marry in. A fitting start to a fairytale wedding.

A beautiful white horse and carriage took Jo and her father to the church, much to the delight of the passers by that had gathered in the village high street.

St Helen's Church in Wheathampstead is the oldest church in the village and it’s wooden Anglo-Saxon structure looked beautiful on this day.

The wedding reception was held at Aldwickbury Park, on the outskirts of Harpenden. A venue that offered a perfect combination of contemporary style and picturesque surroundings.

While wedding guests relaxed on the veranda by the lake, myself and the newly married couple took the opportunity to walk down the avenue of trees which was a perfect setting for some photographs.
