My approach
As a father of two, I know only too well that from a young age we are all conditioned to ‘smile and say cheese‘ to the camera - and there will always be a place for these photos. However, I believe great images should capture real personalities, expressions, emotions and humour. Captured only when our guard is down and we are being ourselves.
A relaxed approach to photography gives families the freedom to relax; to have fun; to play together; to forget worries about whether the children will behave or smile for the camera, and to just be themselves.
There is less posing and more playing!
I want your family photography session to be fun, relaxed and easy. Stress-free for everyone … children, parents … even dad’s!
What to expect
Before the photography session we can chat about what you like to do together as a family – baking, building lego, a trip to the park, playing a favourite sport, enjoying a hobby or simply chilling out on the sofa together – so that I can tailor your unique photoshoot to your unique family.
Your session can include informal group portraits if you like and I can provide as little or as much guidance with this as you like.
You don’t have to dress-up especially or behave any differently to usual, your family life will unfold naturally and we can bounce ideas off of each other as we go along. I promise that you’ll soon forget about the camera and just get on with enjoying the moment together.

This is about seeing the meaning in the everyday! The everyday that we can sometimes take for granted at the time … but is over in a shot! This photo session captures what makes your day complete, together as a family. It could be a family day out or being at home, all the things you love to do in a day, and everyday routines from breakfast to bedtime stories.
